Not everyone is ready to hike up a mountain in a gown on their wedding day. I get it! There's no denying the beauty of Western North Carolina mountains draws people from all adventure-levels in.
I've gathered a few favorite outdoor spots in the Asheville area for a small wedding or elopement. There's no need to hike into these spots but you don't sacrifice the natural setting!
The North Carolina Arboretum (pictured just above) The Arboretum’s Green Wedding Program offers elegant green buildings and sustainable landscapes as venues for ceremonies and receptions. Couples follow guidelines for using organically grown and natural products as part of their wedding.
Asheville Botanical Gardens (pictured just above)
The Gardens provide a lovely setting for an outdoor wedding with an indoor facility for receptions or the possible rainy day. The Gazebo or the meadow in front of the Hayes Cabin, an authentic log cabin nestled in a cove, are perfect locations for a memorable day.
Your family and friends can spend the weekend at Deerfields! They offer cabins, multiple wedding sites, a covered open air pavilion, lake stage and camping. This is an outdoorsy dream!
Ivy Creek Family Farm Events Venue (top photo)
Use Ivy Creek's open air pavilion to comfortably host your wedding, dinner, retreat or gathering. There are camping options for overnight events and a 3 bedroom/2 bath farm house available for rental as well. But best of all, come experience and support a small vegetable farm with your event. Ivy Creek works with caterers and florists to provide produce and flowers for events when requested.
