Hello! I'm a WNC native, originally from nearby Sylva and now proudly rooted in Asheville since 2014 which is the same year I started Chelsea Lane Photography!
After spending years living and exploring outside this region, my heart led me back to this sweet city in the mountains.
I began my work-life in the hospitality industry which is why thoughtful customer service is in my bones. I slowly made the move from working in hotels to working for myself as a photographer over 10 years ago.
Although I love to travel, my happy place is sitting on the back porch with my husband and doggies. I’m a homebody and an introvert, so you'll often find me there! My husband and I eloped in the fall of 2013 and, ever since, we've been wholeheartedly carving out a nice and simple little life.
Are you visiting the area? I recommend an unhurried drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and stopping off for a hike + picnic!

MY PHILOSOPHY
01. INTENTION
I photograph with care, allowing space for moments to unfold naturally while keeping an eye on what truly matters.
02. SIMPLICITY
Most clients work with me because they want natural images and to feel and look like themselves! I like to capture + edit moments as they're experienced, with little to no influence from me.
03. HONESTY
No stiff posing, no over-editing and no trying to turn you into someone you’re not. Your images will be perfectly imperfect with an understated edit.
