Linsey Grey is a charcoal artist working from her studio in Asheville’s River Arts District.
We photographed her in the space where she creates, focusing on the process, materials and details that are part of her everyday work. When photographing an artist and their work, it’s important that the colors align with the artist’s vision and isn’t lost in my editing.
The goal was a collection of photographs that felt like an honest extension of her work - not just portraits, but a sense of the artist, her workspace and the process behind the finished pieces.
